Incoming Students

Studying abroad lets you experience other life styles and gives you an opportunity to view your own country from a different perspective. Furthermore, your language abilities will improve, you can expand your professional knowledge and you will bring home a wealth of personal experience.

The following pages are directed at students who want to learn what opportunities exist and how to pursue their studies as incoming students at TU Kaiserslautern.

Semester Dates:

·         Winter semester:

  • Lectures start around the middle of October and last until the middle of February
  • The exam period begins in the middle of February and ends in the middle of April

·         Summer Semester:

  • Lectures start in the middle of April and end in the middle of July
  • The exam period begins in the middle of July and ends in the middle of September

 

There can be deviations from the above stated dates. Exceptions can be made in case of a temporal overlap between the exam date and the departure date. Only the department can determine whether exceptions are possible and if so how they will look like.
